Hawaiian Volcano Plants are distinctive plants which are planted and grown on hand selected volcanic cinder, blessed by a Kahuna (a spiritual leader of the Hawaiian community) to bring joy and prosperity to those who possess them. This particular volcanic mineral was produced during a 1955 eruption of Kilauea Volcano on the island of Hawaii. Each rock is unique and original and provides an excellent habitat for growing exotic plants. While this plant is commonly called Lacy Paw, Lacy Hare's foot or Rabbit's Foot Fern for it's unique furry legs, it is also know for its light filigreed leaves and is sometimes referred to as Portuguese Lace. A very unique and beautiful plant.
Care Instructions: These are excellent plants for inside the home or office. They do well in bright, indirect light and are easy to care for. When you receive your Hawaiian Volcano plant place it in a small saucer. When your plant starts to become dry, pour water onto the rock until it becomes saturated, then empty the remaining water from the saucer. The lava will hold the water like a sponge, making an ideal growing medium for your plant. If you wish to fertilize your plant, use half-strength fertilizer as needed during the warmer growing season.

Ordered this plant through Amazon from Hirt's Gardens. In the middle of winter. The plant arrived quickly, completely intact and was packaged extremely well. I'd never purchase a plant mail order before, but after this experience will have no problems doing it again.

The Goldfish Plant, from Southern Mexico and Brazil, is a small, indoor, hanging plant with waxy leaves and tiny orange pouched flowers. This plant needs bright light, but avoid full sun. A windowsill facing east seems to be the perfect place for this plant. Trying to keep the plant about 60 degrees in winter is said to encourage flowering. Prune the stems often in winter to encourage bushy growth and flowers. Keep the soil just damp while in flower. This plant will also benefit from fertilizers, but do not feed it in the winter. Also, you should slow the watering of almost all your plants while they're resting in the winter.

String of Pearls - 6" Hanging Basket - Senecio Review

String of Pearls - 6 Hanging Basket - Senecio

I bought this plant last Spring. I bought another one on Ebay the same week. The one from Ebay would be classified as "failing to thrive with excellent care". When I opened the package on this plant I couldn't believe my eyes. It was so big and healthy. It is still big and beautiful six months later. I've always had a String of Pearls plant and after a while they tend to die out. This particular plant is so incredible I'll bet it lives longer than I will.

String of Pearls (Senecio rowleyanus). The String of Pearls is a member of the senecio family, which also includes 'Dusty Miller', 'German Ivy' and 'Cineraria', to name a few. Although the senecios vary widely, they have similar requirements and many of their delicate, succulent tapestries fill the same horticutual niche. String of Pearls, is a popular and low-maintenance plant to grow in a sunny window. It is a slow-growing variety, but your patience will be rewarded. Light: Window. Water: Water when surface is dry. They are forgiving if you forget. Fertilizer: Use either a balanced or low-nitrogen formula at low levels, but frequently---March through October. Soil: Should be loose and porous like a cactus soil.
The plant you will receive is growing in a 6" hanging basket and the vines are just beginning to cascade over the edge of the pot.

I have had this for just under a month and it has definitely filled in and there is alot of new growth. There aren't any flowers yet but some of the leaves have come in with very striking deep pink tones. I also planted a start that fell off of the plant and it seems to be doing fairly well. I am definitely happy with the purchase and hope that the flowers are half as striking as the picture.

Strawberries & Cream Wax Plant - Hoya carnosa
Hoya carnosa is one of 100 species of Hoya that are native to Eastern Asia and Australia. The this easy to grow houseplant Hoya carnosa was named for Thomas Hoym, gardener to the Duke of Northumberland at the end of the 18th century.
Blooming Time: Summer: Clusters of attractive, star shaped, pink-white blossoms are produced in summer. The delicate flowers appear to be made of porcelain and are truly unique.
Culture: Hoya carnosa does best in at least 4 hours of bright indirect or curtain-filtered sunlight. Night temperatures of 60 to 65 degrees and day temperatures of 70 degrees or higher are optimal. Water freely during flowering but allow the soil to become almost dry between waterings when the plants are not rapidly growing. Fertilize every 2 months in spring and summer. Do not remove the leafless spurs or stubs, on which new flowers appear every year.
Propagation: Hoya carnosa can be propagated at anytime by air layering or by stem cuttings. A portion of the stem including one or more pairs of leaves will quickly produce roots in water or damp sand.
The plant you will receive is growing in a 4" pot.

Cat Grass Seeds 500 Seeds Review

Cat Grass Seeds 500 Seeds
Average Reviews:

Cat grass seeds will sprout very easily---you can sprinkle them on top of any kind of moisture retaining soil or peat moss. My cats eat the sprouts very quickly. I suggest that you purchase multiple seed packs. I did so to insure that I would have more sprouts ready when the first wave was gobbled. The only drawback is shipping cost--which is more than the seed packets themselves. That's another reason to order in multiples. The shipping cost for several packages is the same as for a single packet.
