(More customer reviews)I used this for the first time to ice a layer cake and it worked great; sleek and left the icing even without any marks. Immediately when i took this out of the package, I was impressed with the quality. The stainless steel is sturdy, the handle is well-designed. I did use this to lift a layer onto the other, and it worked so well! The width of the spatula allows one to take a COOLED layer and with ease, place it in one swift movement to where it is supposed to go. I am so glad I have this in my 'gadgetry' collection.

(More customer reviews)I posted this review mainly to let anyone interested in this stencil set know what they're getting: not full-color stickers as depicted in the photo(s), but an outline kit that must be adhered to the wall and then painted over. The benefit to this of course is you can choose your colors. The disadvantage is that it takes a lot more work than just adhering some stickers to the wall.
One other comment: the price is so high ($99.95 as of this typing) because its manufacturer charges that much, as can be seen simply by researching the name of the company.
Anyhow, so if you're handy with paint, by all means, it's a fine set. But if you're looking for something simpler, be warned.

Dutch Gold Leaf - Patent Version...This Gold Leaf is actually not gold at all. It is made from Brass and has several names such as Imitation GoldComposition Leaf as well as Brass Leaf. It is considerable less expensive because there is no gold to be found in it. We carry the #2 Composition Gold which looks similar to 23 Karat Gold. Compostion is 88% Copper and 12% Zinc. Although it looks similar one should be aware that it tarnishes very quickly and must be polished and sealed with a varnish as quickly as possible. The leaves are larger 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" and are sold 25 leaves per book. This dutch gold is the first of it's kind. It is the only patent version avaialble. Patent means that the leaves are not loose requiring a gilder's tip for application. Insteadit is lightly attached to a thin tissue paper which acts as a carrier so that you can easily hold the tissue by the edges and carefully apply the gold to the sized area. This is a greatlong overdue idea.
