And then, there're the different textures (furry, fluffy, rough, bumpy, etc.) which can actually be felt and touched by the child. These descriptive words and pictures are then matched to its corresponding partner (ex: swirly=lollipop, furry=rabbit, pink=pig) by means of locking in two puzzle pieces. The groove-and-tongue pattern is simple and big enough for young ones and every pair of puzzle is different. Great for teaching adjectives, pairs, vocabulary, textures, spatial skills, colors, etc.

(More customer reviews)My daughter received this toy for Christmas. It quickly became a favorite of hers and therefore my husband's and mine as well. Baby girl is 9 months old now, and this guy keeps her entertained during diaper changes, toweling off after a bath, or anytime we need to put her down for a second to grab a diaper or a change of clothes. She has really put him through his paces and he holds up well. He's been spit up on, chewed remorselessly, even chucked into the diaper pail and he always comes out unscathed.

Given to grand-daughter for 1st birthday along with the Uncle Goose Wagon and set of blocks and she plays with these on a daily basis. Loves to have someone stack them up so she can tumble them over and then laughs and giggles. She can build her own towers too! Imagine these will be played with for a very long time while many of the other toys from the October birthday are long forgotten. She loves "chewing" on the blocks but they do not splinter, come apart, chip or anything else as she continues to get the baby teeth in! Adults like playing with the blocks too...see all sorts of messages arranged with them that I know Abby did not do in spite of her genius status!
