Oregon Scientific Weather Forecaster with Temperature Display and Self-Setting Atomic Clock Review

All in all, this little gadget is OK. It could really use a backlight and the atomic clock feature only works if you live within 932 miles of Boulder, Colorado. The weather forecaster is based on detecting fluctuations in barometric pressure. The thermometer appears to work fine and I didn't have much trouble synchronizing the remote sensor. Finally, you'll need 3 AA batteries to run the main station and 2 AAA batteries for each remote sensor.

Gives me exactly what I wanted. I can see the temperature outside and inside. At first I was a little confused as to why I wasn't seeing the outdoor humidity, but then I read the packaging and noticed that I would need a different sensor to read that. I really like the look of it - very sleek silver and blue writting.

Please do not buy this product unless you like junk. Rain guage will not reset to zero. I returned one allready and now returning the replacement unit that is also junk. It's really to bad. Instructions say to just hold the since button for two seconds to set the rain counter to zero. this does not work. I ordered one unit that was defective, returned and got a second defective unit.

Easy to use and loaded with features for monitoring and recording rainfall and precipitation, this rain gauge is a boon for gardeners, farmers, and weather enthusiasts alike. The indoor console displays a 9-day rainfall memory, the time of day, and indoor/outdoor temperatures with data transmitted from a wireless remote system. Customizable rainfall alarms let you know if the garden needs to be watered or not after that storm hit while you slept. An automatic self-emptying rain cup measures and then eliminates collected rainfall, so there\'s no running out to empty it when full.Rainfall amounts are shown as inches or millimeters. About the size of a deck of playing cards, the compact indoor console displays data in bold, easy-to-read digits.
