It cleans very well, and does replate and to the naked eye, it "repairs" lightly worn pieces, or where the wear is only contained to say a ridge or raised area. On well-worn pieces though, like the bowl of a spoon or flat part of a handle, it helps but remains noticeable, even with repeated applications.
